Contributing to tomOSii¶
Thank you for your interest in contributing to tomOSii! We are excited to share this experimental project with the community. Please take a moment to review our contribution guidelines.
Contribution Guidelines¶
Publicly Available, but Experimental: tomOSii is available to the public as an experimental prototype intended to inform a potential operating systems course. As such, we’re still working through the complexities of building the core features in order to deeply understand the system and the main topics.
Selective on Contributions: While we value contributions, we are being selective about external changes. We prefer to tackle the implementation of the required features ourselves, as it helps us deeply engage with the project’s development.
Feedback is Welcome: We appreciate suggestions, feedback, and critiques. If you come across errors or bugs, we’d be grateful if you let us know. Your observations help improve the project.
Idea Contributions: We encourage you to share your ideas or insights into solving problems or improving features. However, please refrain from submitting complete solutions. We prefer to work through the challenges ourselves to better understand and refine the system.
Documentation Open for Contributions: While we are restrictive on code contributions, the documentation is open to contributions! If you notice areas where the documentation could be clearer or more thorough, feel free to propose improvements.
